Carboprost Tromethamine

Terminating pregnancy between the 13th and 20th weeks of gestation. In the following conditions related to second trimester abortion:

  • Failure of expulsion of the fetus during the course of treatment by another method;
  • Premature rupture of membranes in intrauterine methods with loss of drug and insufficient or absent uterine activity;
  • Requirement of a repeat intrauterine instillation of drug for expulsion of the fetus;
  • Inadvertent or spontaneous rupture of membranes in the presence of a previable fetus and absence of adequate activity for expulsion.

Treatment of postpartum hemorrhage due to the uterus failing to return to its normal size and who have not responded to conventional treatments.

Carmustine

Carmustine injection is indicated as palliative therapy as a single agent or in established combination therapy in the following:

  • Brain tumors glioblastoma, brainstem glioma, medulloblastoma, astrocytoma, ependymoma, and metastatic brain tumors.
  • Multiple myeloma in combination with prednisone.
  • Relapsed or refractory Hodgkin's lymphoma in combination with other approved drugs.

Carvedilol

Carvedilol is indicated for the treatment of mild, moderate or severe heart failure of ischemic or cardiomyopathic origin, in conjunction with digitalis, diuretics and ACE inhibitor, to reduce the progression of disease as evidenced by cardiovascular death, cardiovascular hospitalization, or the need to adjust other heart failure medications. Carvedilol may be used in patients unable to tolerate an ACE inhibitor. Carvedilol may be used in patients who are not receiving digitalis, hydralazine or nitrate therapy.

Treatment of Invasive Aspergillosis in Patients Who Are Refractory to or Intolerant of Other Therapies: Caspofungin acetate for injection is indicated for the treatment of invasive aspergillosis in adult and pediatric patients (3 months of age and older) who are refractory to or intolerant of other therapies.
